In our Toddler Room we recognise and celebrate each child’s individuality and capability in every aspect of care we provide, helping to build their independence and confidence.

We offer a wide range of resources and activities, indoors and outdoors, that specifically cater for children aged 2 years and above, that enhance physical development, co-ordination, confidence building, stimulate language and listening skills as well as encouraging social interaction with their peers.

Sensory play and heuristic play is an important learning tool used in this room and it also helps staff make astute observations and assessments of each individual child’s learning before their next transition into our Pre-school Room

Here are some examples of activities that will be offered to your child :

Messy activities – cornflour, jellibath, sand, water, painting, pasta, glueing and sticking

Mark Making – Felt tips, wax crayons, pencil crayons, chalk

General – sensory play, heuristic paly, small world, puppets, construction, books, baking, dressing up, homecorner, jigsaws, singing

Outdoors – Vegetable garden, mud kitchen, Forest school, planting and digging, balls, train tracks, slide
